COMBINATION MACHINE

IONZYME

INTENSIVE IMPACT

Product Description: Environ®’s Ionzyme Intensive Impact contains the highest dose of vitamin A in the Environ® range of products, in the form of Retinol in a non-greasy formula. Specifically designed for use with the Ionzyme Machine for both Iontophoresis and Sonophoresis.

Indications for use: Only to be used in salon treatments by those who have already acclimatised to Environ®’s Proactive Day & Night Creams or Ionzyme C-Quence. Not to be used on those clients with sensitive skins or those who have not already prepared their skin with Environ® products.

Intended for those with photoaged skin (even in severe forms), pigmentation marks, lines on the face and upper and lower eyelids, upper lip lines, Lax neck skin, and scarring. For the best results include OptimA as part of the homecare regime.

Directions for use: Clients are generally recommended to have 24 Iontophoresis treatments, twice weekly, but it could take up to 50 to 60 treatments to see results in severe cases.

Sonophoresis, especially combined with Iontophoresis, treatments for upper lip lines should be done twice a week for a minimum of 24 treatments, but may require as many as 50 treatments to give significant lightening of upper lip lines and pigmentation in severe cases.

Clients should continue their regular home care Proactive or Ionzyme range regimes.

Using Iontophoresis:

Remove all make-up and pre-cleanse the skin thoroughly using Interactive Aquatrol or B-Active Sebutrol.

Apply Interactive Claytech Masque and massage thoroughly into the whole face, the lower and upper eyelids, the perioral area (around the mouth) especially and the neck. Continue this circular massage of the skin for about 5 minutes.

Wash off with Interactive Cleansing Gel, making sure that all traces of Interactive Claytech Masque are removed.

Tone the skin with either the Alpha Hydroxy Toner Mild or Forte according to the clients’ skin type, allow to dry.

Apply Ionzyme Intensive Impact in a thick layer to the area to be treated. Allow the gel to set.

Apply moistened Haize Gauze to the treatment area. Add Ionzyme Intensive Conductive Gel or Proactive Moisture Gel on top.

Iontophorese on negative current at the maximum strength of current that is comfortable for the client. The treatment should be continued for 20 minutes, though it can be extended to 40 minutes if preferred.

After a short rest period of 5 minutes, it is preferable to follow the Iontophoresis of Ionzyme Intensive Impact with the Iontophoresis of Ionzyme Intensive Masque Crystal.

Ideal for upper lip lines or pigmentation blemishes. It is recommended that only one side be treated at a time when treating upper lip lines, in order to get maximum penetration.

Use a dam around the area to be treated.

Apply the Impact in a thick layer and allow to set. Then apply a thick layer of Conductive Gel.

Sonophorese for at least 5 minutes.

Always remember that for the best results, Iontophoresis should be done in combination with sonophoresis through the probe.

Always use a sunscreen at the end of the treatment. Use only as directed.

People with sensitive skin or those who have not been on vitamin A topical treatment for a prolonged period may find that they develop a Retinoid reaction after the

treatment with Ionzyme Intensive Impact. Reassure the client that the reaction is temporary and that they should reduce the exposure to vitamin A in their home regime.

How does it work?

Contains high doses of Retinol in a formulation that make it suitable for Iontophoresis and Sonophoresis.
As a result of using Iontophoresis the amount of vitamin A reaching the keratinocytes can be significantly increased.
Research indicates that anything from 0.1 to about 7.2% of vitamin A applied to the skin penetrates down to the level of keratinocytes.
With Iontophoresis this percentage of penetration may increase 4 fold, which under ideal conditions, could mean absorption of 28% of the vitamin A applied to the surface of the skin.
High levels of vitamin A in the epidermis and upper dermis can produce smoother skin, lighter pigmentation marks and healthier skin.
Promotes the production of healthy collagen and elastin. More collagen may be formed leading to a firmer skin tone.
The immune system of the cell may be strengthened.
The growth pattern of the cell may be normalised.
The physiology governed by vitamin A will be normalised.
The release of pigment granules will be reduced.
Improves the natural moisturising factors of the skin.
Increases the growth of the basal layer of the skin, thereby thickening the epidermis while compacting the horny layer.
Improves the blood supply to the deeper layers of the skin.

Results: a healthier, younger looking skin.
